Research records and data must abide by any and all applicable federal, state, and organizational statutes and policies. The Institutional Review Board and the Office of Research have additional procedures you should also be familiar with.

UF Requirements for Research Data Destruction
Once you have met any regulatory requirement for how long you must retain records for completed research, you cannot destroy any records/data until you comply with the institutional requirements for data destruction.
